Introduction about plugin Multi Thickness

Multi Thickness Plugin is a product of OneCAD Vietnam team built to assist customers in optimizing machining strategies as well as reducing programmer time.

Coming from our technical staff’s experience of working, the need to change the thickness to create groups of multiple toolpath consecutive to the finishing components we must repeat copy existing toolpath and change thickness then calculate the toolpaths again.

This operation is quite simple but requires many repetitions, in case we need only 1 to 2 toolpaths then can accept the above operations repeated, but in case 10 to 50 toolpaths is such a tedious process and waste a lot of time. With the Multi Thickness Plugin, programmers simply create a standard toolpath with the desired amount of thickness and then define the requirement to plugin:

• Number of toolpaths you want to run
• Distance between 2 toolpaths (thickness increment)
• Define last pass thickness

This plugin is not limited to the types of tool you want to use or the type of toolpath. Like PowerMill, the limit of this Plugin is the user's applicability, so please share the applications that you are using this plugin in your daily work.

Note: For some Toolpaths where the thickness change cannot be applied, this plugin cannot be used.
